Pittsfield: Recreation Program seeks lifeguards

The Pittsfield Department of Community Development Recreation Program seeks applicants for lifeguarding positions as well as the role of beach master at the public beach within Burbank Park.

Candidates must be First Aid and CPR certified and possess a current Lifeguarding Certificate; possessing a Waterfront Skills Certificate is strongly recommended.

Lifeguard certification and/or re-certification courses are offered locally. Contact the following locations regarding course offerings:

• Berkshire Family YMCA, 292 North St., 413-499-7650, ext. 27.

• Boys & Girls Club, 16 Melville St., 413-448-8258.

• Gladys Allen Brigham Center, 165 East St., 413-442-5174.
