Pittsfield: Reintegration specialist to present program on violence reduction
Berkshire Citizens for Peace and Justice will continue its public information program with regard to agencies working to reduce the level of violence in Berkshire County.
Frank Busener, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office program facilitator for reintegration services, will speak at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 175 Wendell Ave.
Busener’s position involves working with inmates, both pre- and post-release, exploring and identifying self-defeating, self-destructive patterns of behavior and offering alternatives that support clean, healthy, safe lifestyles.
Busener also co-facilitates the 24/7 "Dad program" in Pittsfield and North Adams.
Busener will be accompanied by a guest speaker, Dan Landry, who will share his thoughts on the subject: "We live what we know, a journey to inner peace."
The program is free and open to the public.
