Pittsfield: Repair Cafe to be held Saturday
The next Pittsfield Repair Cafe will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 15, in the basement of St. Stephen’s Church, 67 East St.; enter through the Allen Street door.
The event is held on third Saturday of each month. Volunteers fix guests’ broken and damaged items for free. Anyone is welcome to bring non-working but repairable lamps, vacuum cleaners, and other small appliances, and all types of clothing and fabric items, but not watches, jewelry, shoes, CRT monitors, TVs, or small electronics, such as phones.
With the coming spring, consider bringing a bicycle for maintenance help or bring blades for sharpening.
There are free refreshments and piano players provide music.
