Pittsfield rollover causes no serious injuries
PITTSFIELD — A two-car accident at the intersection of Bartlett Avenue and Taconic Street on Wednesday morning left one vehicle turned over onto its hood, but nobody involved suffered serious injury, police say.
A 2002 Hyundai Elantra operated by Heather Briggs, 33, of Lee, careened into a 2007 Hyundai Entourage, the impact flipping the second vehicle onto its hood, at just after 8 a.m.
Everyone in the two vehicles — Briggs and two children in the Elantra and the operator of the Entourage — were transported to Berkshire Medical Center for treatment following the crash. None of the injuries were "serious," police said.
Police issued citations against Briggs for her responsibility in the accident, one for failing to stop at a traffic sign and for a tire tread violation.
In a Facebook post on the accident, Pittsfield Police said "officers arrived within moments of the call and assisted with several patients" and to "remember to stop at all stop signs."
