Pittsfield: Save the Art plans protest

The Save the Art group has organized a demonstration at Park Square from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, to protest the Berkshire Museum's plan to sell 40 works of art.

There will be program of speakers set to begin at 11 a.m. with an encore at noon.

Before and after the speakers, there will be a peaceful protest on behalf of Save the Art. Demonstrators will bring cause-related signage and some will be dressing in black to "mourn" the loss of the artwork.

Flyers and informational materials will be available.
