Pittsfield: Senator Downing to be honored by Brien Center

The Brien Center for Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services will honor state Sen. Benjamin Downing for his service to Berkshire County at the annual UNICO dinner.

The dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 12, at the ITAM Lodge, 93 Waubeek Road.

Downing has served Berkshire County for nearly 10 years since he was first elected to the State Senate on Nov. 7, 2006. Downing represents the 52 communities of the Berkshire, Hampshire, Franklin, and Hampden District, the largest Senate district in the Commonwealth.

Tickets are $35 each. The event is open to the public, however, advance reservations are appreciated.
