Pittsfield: Soup fest to benefit food pantries, soup kitchens

The Civitan Club of Pittsfield will hold its seventh annual "Soup Fest" benefit from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 8, at the Berkshire Hills Country Club, 500 Benedict Road.

The event will include soup tastings from over 20 local restaurants and culinary programs along with music by DJ Larry Kratka, appetizers, desserts, cash bar, raffles and more. During this Lenten season, several meatless soups will be offered.

Tickets may be obtained from Civitan member Ray Boudreau at (413) 445-5754 or at the door. The cost is $25 per person. Reservations may be made for tables of 10.

Proceeds from this benefit will help provide direct donations to soup kitchens and food pantries across the county. Last year’s event served over 300 attendees raising approximately $9,405.39.
