Pittsfield: Spring luncheons return to Methodist church

A tradition for over 30 years, spring luncheons are served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Fridays, April 16, 18, 15 and May 2, at First United Methodist Church, 55 Fenn St.

Hearty soups, freshly made sandwiches and desserts featuring homemade pies are served. The complete meal is $7 and $3 for items a la carte. Visitors can also place orders "to go" by calling the church at (413) 499-0866.

Funds raised from this event assist the United Methodist Women in community projects.

FUMC under the leadership of Rev. Ralph W. Howe has earned its designation as a "downtown church" ministering to many in the Pittsfield community through its Tuesday Harvest Table Dinners, food pantry services and its partnership with the Pearl Street Day Center assisting homeless and unemployed residents. It is an active participant with the Pittsfield Area Council of Congregations.
