Pittsfield: Students participating in annual youth conference

The 10th annual "411 in the 413 Youth Conference" is being held Thursday, April 14, at Hancock Shaker Village.

The conference offers a unique opportunity for 10 students from various schools in Berkshire County to discuss current events, offer ideas and resources for transitioning into life after high school, and find ways to be involved in the community.

This year's conference will feature workshops relating environment sustainability, the arts, social justice, and business and technology.

A unique feature of this year's event is the keynote which includes a panel discussion with state Rep. Tricia Farley-Bouvier, state Rep. Gailanne Cariddi and Mayor Linda Tyer.
