Pittsfield: Students to compete for Mr. Taconic crown


The seventh annual Mr. Taconic Man Pageant, "Uptown Funk!," will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, in the Taconic High School auditorium.

Teachers nominated 14 of Taconic's young senior men who will compete in formal wear, talent, public speaking, and physical coordination and fitness.

The contestants are Stephen Riley, Brian Hassett, Brad Cobb, Ramon Flores, Robert Mottley, Richie Garwood, Nicholas Gallagher, Alex Kent, Marcus Anoh, Tyler Pudlo, Matthew Barry, Tylir Andrews, Kyle Rochelo, and Christopher Colletta.

Awards will be given in each competition and the one who accumulates the most points overall will be crowned Mr. Taconic.

The audience will get a chance to vote for their favorite, crowned Mr. Popularity, and the contestants will determine the title of Mr. Congeniality amongst themselves.

A total of $250 will be awarded in prizes.

Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door.

All proceeds from the show will support the Taconic chapter of Business Professionals of America.
