Pittsfield: Support group addresses early stage memory loss

Posted

Home Instead Senior Care of Berkshire County provides a support group for care partners of individuals with Early Stage Alzheimer’s and other forms of memory loss and dementia. The meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 17, at Home Instead Senior Care, 364 South St.

The goal of this group is to provide a forum for discussion about coming to acceptance and learning to live with a dementia diagnosis. Participants can learn more about memory loss, and share thoughts, ideas, and feelings with one another.

Dr. Jay Ellis and Donna Smith of Home Instead Senior Care are group facilitators. The group is open to family caregivers including spouses/partners, adult children and other family members.

To register or for more information, contact Bobbie Orsi at (413) 442-0907.
