Pittsfield: Taconic High School names Commended Students

Taconic High School Principal John Vosburgh has announced that Ranjana Lingutla and Katherine Parks have been named Commended Students in the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Program.

A Letter of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation, which conducts the program, will be presented by Vosburgh to these scholastically talented seniors.

Although they will not continue in the 2016 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, Lingutla and Parks placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2016 competition by taking the 2014 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
