Pittsfield: Taconic, Pittsfield High to host college planning night

A college planning night for high school juniors and their parents/guardians will take place at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, in the Pittsfield High School auditorium. Counselors from Taconic and Pittsfield High will host the program.

The program will feature three college representatives: Tina Schettini, admission representative at Berkshire Community College; Josh Mendel, senior associate director of admission at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts; and Abigail Conyers, admission counselor at Williams College.

Topics will include the application process, how GPA and SAT scores impact college applications, the importance of course selection for senior year, college visits, and more.

A question and answer session will follow the program.
