PITTSFIELD -- Josh Berthiume hit a grand slam and Kevin Squires drove in three runs to lead Pittsfield Post 68 to a 12-0 win over North Adams Post 125 on Tuesday night at Clapp Park.

Pittsfield starter Steve Witkowski pitched five strong innings, striking out five while allowing six hits and walking two. The game ended after five innings because of the mercy rule.

Squires had two hits including a two-run double and Mitch Clary also contributed two hits for Pittsfield (6-1).

Kody Crosier lasted 123 innings in taking the loss as Pittsfield scored nine runs in the first two innings.

Pittsfield will complete a rain-delayed game against the Tyler Aces today at 4:30 p.m. before taking on the Aces in the day’s regularly scheduled game.
