Pittsfield: Trio to perform concert of original compositions

Original compositions by Berkshire composer Joy Robin Dronge will be featured in a concert at the Berkshire Music School at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 14, in the Taft Recital Hall, 30 Wendell Ave.

"Exodus" tells the story of the Israelites escape from Egyptian bondage. "Wild Nights" is based on an Emily Dickinson poem of the same name.

The trio of musicians performing these compositions are flutist Norman Thibodeau, clarinetist David Ciucevich and bassoonist and conductor Gerald Lanoue.

Dronge, a flutist and composer trained at the Juilliard School, is the founder of the Stockbridge Sinfonia Orchestra.

This program, free and open to the public, is supported, by a grant from The Wasserman-Streit Y’Diyah Memorial Fund and the Berkshire Music School. Information: (413) 442-1411.
