Pittsfield: UNICO golf tournament raises $30,600

UNICO of Pittsfield held its 23rd annual golf tournament on Aug. 8 at the Berkshire Hills Country Club and raised a total of $30,600 for its charitable causes.

A total of 220 golfers participated in the event supported by 150 local businesses.

The proceeds will be used to support local charities, some of which include The Brien Center, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Friends of Cardio Pulmonary Department, Boys and Girls Club, Kid’s Place, Jimmy Fund, Fourth of July Parade, NAMI, Relay for Life, UCP, United Way, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 65, Women’s Imagining Center, Pittsfield Food Pantries, and many others.

Additionally, UNICO gave away $13,000 in scholarships to local high school students this past June.
