Monday July 1, 2013

VFW Post 448 and the Veterans Coalition invite Korean War veterans and all veterans to attend a memorial ceremony commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice at 10 a.m. on Saturday July 27, on the steps of City Hall.

Korean War veterans in attendance will be given a black baseball style hat with Korean Veteran in gold print and three campaign ribbons added. A commitment is required so that hats may be ordered.

Those planning to participate are asked to attend the Post meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, at the American Legion, 41 Wendell Ave.

Veterans should be present at the meeting to sign up for their hat. Those unable to attend the meeting may call Commander Arnold Perras at (413) 443-0309.

Hats will be presented prior to the July 27 ceremony.
