Pittsfield: VFW plans Korean War memorial ceremony


VFW Post 448 will conduct a memorial ceremony commemorating the 63rd anniversary of the Korean War Armistice at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at the Korean War Memorial at City Hall.

The ceremony will include a rifle salute, taps and the reading of the names of the 20 Pittsfield citizens who lost their lives in the conflict. A bell will be rung for each name.

The event will take less than a half hour to complete. The public and veterans are invited.
