Pittsfield: Voter registration deadline set for presidential primary
The last day to register to vote or to change name, address or party enrollment to be eligible to vote in the March 1 presidential primary election is Wednesday, Feb. 10.
The Registrar of Voters office in City Hall, 70 Allen St., will remain open until 8 p.m. on that day.
Absentee ballot applications and absentee ballots are available.
A person is eligible to vote by absentee ballot if they are a registered voter and will be unable to vote at the polls on Election Day for one of the following reasons: Absence from the city during normal polling hours; physical disability preventing you from going to the polls; or religious beliefs.
Voters must complete an absentee ballot application by noon Monday, Feb. 29. Voters may vote by mail or in person.
Voter registration and absentee ballot application forms are available from the Registrar of Voters office from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
