Pittsfield: Ward 7 added to Democratic caucus roster

Democrats in Ward 7 are forming a committee in time to participate in the upcoming city caucus to elect delegates to the state convention in June.

The organization of the committee will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at the American Legion, 41 Wendell Ave. All registered Democrats in Ward 7 are welcome.

Following the organization of the Ward 7 Committee, there will be a caucus at 2 p.m. at the same location to elect two females and two males from Ward 7 as delegates to the convention.

The rest of the scheduled caucuses remain the same for Democrats in Wards 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6, all of which will participate in their respective caucuses also at 2 p.m. on March 1 at the American Legion.

At each caucus, Democrats will elect delegates and alternates to the 2014 Massachusetts Democratic Convention to be held Friday and Saturday, June 13 and 14, at the DCU Center in Worcester.
