Pittsfield: Wings, Wheels & Warbirds at Pittsfield Airport


The Pittsfield Municipal Airport is hosting its first "Wings, Wheels, and Warbirds" event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at the airport, 832 Tamarack Road.

The event will feature a display of aircraft, military helicopters, automobiles, motorcycles; a Pittsfield Piston Poppers car show benefiting Soldier On; flying demonstrations, and biplane and helicopter rides.

Hot air balloon tethered rides and a plane pull competition benefit Special Olympics.

The Pittsfield High School boys and girls cross-country teams will be conducting a mile runway run beginning at 9 a.m.

There is no charge for aircraft and car display participants. Admission is free. Parking costs $10 per car with proceeds supporting a local high school soccer team.
