Pittsfield woman injured in 2-car crash
PITTSFIELD -- A young city woman escaped serious injury following a two-car crash on West Street on Sunday afternoon.
Police say around 2:30 p.m., MacKenzie Colvin, 20, driving a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee, rear-ended a 2012 Ford Explorer operated by 53-year-old Patricia Gunther, of Garden City, N.Y.
The Long Island woman wasn't hurt, but Colvin was taken to Berkshire Medical Center, where she was treated and released, according to hospital officials.
The collision occurred near the entrance to Salisbury Estates. No further details were immediately available of the crash that remains under investigation.
Colvin's vehicle was towed from the scene with major front-end damage.
Gunther was able to drive away in her Ford Explorer its damage was limited to rear bumper and hatchback door.
