Pittsfield: YMCA registering for Tie Dye Dash color run

Posted

The Pittsfield Family YMCA is registering for its new Tie Dye Dash, a 5K color run fundraiser to be held rain or shine starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at Burbank Park.

Dressed in a YMCA white T-shirt and sunglasses, runners/walkers will pass through five splash zones where colored cornstarch powder will be tossed at them. All proceeds support the YMCA’s youth educational programming.

A party featuring local food and beverage vendors, music, dancing, raffles and the best costume awards will follow the race. Parking will be available at Taconic High School and a shuttle bus will be provided.

Children under 8 years old and all pets are not permitted to participate in the race.

Registration by May 9 costs $40 and $50 on race day. Register at the YMCA, 292 North St., or online at pittsfieldfamilyymca.org or active.com.
