Pittsfield: Zion Lutheran hosts "Beer & Hymns’ sing-along

Zion Lutheran Church will present "Beer & Hymns & Summer Jams" at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 24, in the back room of Baba Louie’s Pizza, 34 Depot St. This marks the fifth installment of Zion’s series of community "Beer & Hymns" sing-alongs.

The group will be invited to call out suggested "summer hits" to sing in addition to the usual selection of hymns and songs. Leading the evening will be pianists Timothy Weisman and Amy Renak, as well as Dan Broad, string bass, and Bill Chapman, drums.

Beer, wine, a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, and Baba Louie’s menu items will be available for purchase.

Everyone is welcome. There is no admission fee or cover charge and all seating is general admission.

A free-will offering will be taken to support the Pittsfield Area Council of Congregations Emergency Fuel Fund. Over $1,500 has been raised at Beer & Hymns events for the fuel fund.
