Pittsfield's Babe Ruth World Series game is online

VAN BUREN, Ark. -- The Pittsfield 15-year old Babe Ruth All-Stars are all safely with their host families and are watching as the 2012 World Series begins.

In the first game, Hi-Tower, Minn. defeated Harrison, Ark., 9-4. Hi-Tower is located in Saint Paul. The second game, featuring the hosts against Lumber River, N.C., was not completed at press time.

Pittsfield will open its tournament play on Sunday at 7:45 p.m. CDT against Van Buren. WTEN-TV in Albany reports that a live webcast can be seen on its site, www.news10.com.
