Police: 2 officers dragged by moving car in Boston
BOSTON >> Two police officers have been injured by a driver who dragged them with his car during a traffic stop in Boston.
Prosecutors say 45-year-old Bryant Gilbert is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in connection with the Sunday night incident.
Police say the officers pulled over a car at Blue Hill Avenue and Stratton Street in Mattapan at about 7 p.m.
The officers reached in both sides of the vehicle after the driver tried to get out of the car.
Police say the driver put the car in gear and the officers were dragged for a "significant distance" before the car crashed. They were taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital with minor injuries.
