NORWOOD >> Police say a suspect has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery and subsequent police chase that ended with a crash in southern Massachusetts.

The suspect, who wasn't identified, was seen getting into a pickup truck with a snow plow attachment after robbing Central Market in Norwood Thursday afternoon.

A Walpole officer spotted the truck on state Route 27 and pulled the suspect over. Police say the vehicle sped off and was pursued as it made its way onto U.S. Route 1 toward Interstate 95.

After police diverted the car back toward Walpole, the suspect lost control and crashed on Rt. 27. The driver was apprehended at the scene.

Police say a second suspect was involved but it's unclear if they were arrested.

Information on charges weren't immediately released.
