Police looking for man who robbed pizza delivery man at knifepoint

Pittsfield police are searching for a man wanted for allegedly robbing a pizza delivery man at knifepoint on Friday evening.

Police responded to a report of a robbery at 11:08 p.m. on Fourth Street, Sgt. Michael Maddalena said.

A Domino's Pizza driver told police that he was walking toward a residence on the street to deliver a pie when he was approached by a white male with a knife who demanded his money, Maddalena said.

The suspect took off with an unknown amount of cash and fled northbound on Fourth Street, Maddalena said. Police sent out a K-9 unit to search for the suspect, but were unable to locate him. The suspect is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall and between 170 and 180 pounds.
