Police probing triple shooting at Long Island nightclub


NORTH PATCHOGUE, N.Y. >> Police are investigating after they say three people were shot outside a nightclub on Long Island.

It happened early Sunday at the V.I.P. Lounge in North Patchogue (PACH'-awg) in Suffolk County.

Police say a 23-year-old Medford man was shot multiple times and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Officers say a 30-year-old Central Islip (EYE'-slihp) man was shot once in the leg. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and has been released.

The third victim, a 19-year-old Medford man, was also treated for a gunshot wound to the leg.

The identities of the victims haven't been released.

Police say this was the third shooting outside the club since May.
