Police: Suspect jumped out of window to escape officers
BOSTON >> Authorities say a stabbing suspect involved in a standoff with Boston police jumped out of an apartment window to escape.
Police received a report of a barricaded suspect at Brookway Terrace in Roslindale at around 5:30 p.m. Monday. Police cleared the scene shortly before 9 p.m.
Superintendent Bernie O'Rourke tells The Boston Globe that officers had attempted to serve an arrest warrant at the address for a man wanted in connection with a non-fatal stabbing.
O'Rourke says a witness reported that the suspect jumped out of a third-floor window at some point during the standoff and fled.
He remained at large Monday night. His identity has not been released.
