Qualprint picks photo winners
PITTSFIELD -- Qualprint of Pittsfield has selected 10 top winners in its 2012 "A Closer Look at the Berk shires" photography and art contest.
The winning entries will be published as the 12 monthly images in Qualprint’s 2013 full-color calendar. This is the 29th year that Qualprint has published this calendar.
More than 1,000 images were entered for consideration in this year’s contest for the 2013 calendar. A panel of the employees from Qual print served as judges.
Diana Norton of Lanes borough received the $250 top prize for her image of a waterfall in Dalton, which will be used for the month of March. Bill Madden of Wil liams town re ceived the $200 second prize for his image of a park bench in Williamstown covered with pink flowers, which will ap pear for May. Madden also won third place for a snowy mountain range in Wil liamstown, which will illustrate January.
The other monthly winners were Mark Bowie of Pitts field, for September and Decem ber; Maryellen Foster of Alford, for February; Elaine Radiss of Great Barrington, for April; Mar i ssia Bibbo of Savoy, for June; Nancy Burton of Dalton, for July; David Leslie of Hins dale, for August; Anne L. White of Pitts field, for October; and Linda Gal ok of Pittsfield, for November.
Honorable mention selections were again awarded to all who made it into the final round of judging.
