Catholic schools open house: The Catholic schools of Pittsfield will host two open house experiences this week. Both programs are free and open to the public.
"Discover St. Mark," will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 tonight St. Mark offers preschool through Grade 8 programs. Prospective families are invited to the school to make their own ice cream sundae and learn more about the school at 400 Columbus Ave. Information: (413) 442-6040.
"The St. Joe Experience" will be offered on Wednesday, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the school, 22 Maplewood Ave. The open house is for students and families interested in enrolling in Grades 9 through 12.
Youth Leadership Program: The Youth Leadership Program of the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for its 2013-14 class.
The program has been developed for high school juniors, who apply in the spring semester of their sophomore year. The deadline to apply is Friday.
Throughout the 10-month long program, students will explore the local community - its resources, leadership, issues and opportunities, and will develop a repertoire of leadership skills to help them be successful in their own lives.
Tuition is $100, which covers materials, snacks and sessions. Financial aid is available.

Teen art show: The third annual juried 2013 Teen Art Invitational exhibit, curated through Mass MoCA, continues to be exhibited at the Eclipse Mill Gallery, Route 2, North Adams.
It will be on view to the public, free, on Saturday and Sunday, from noon to 5 p.m.

May Day festival: On Wednesday, Great Barrington Rudolf Steiner School invites the community to celebrate the ancient spring festival of May Day will be brought to life at the school with fiddlers, flutes and dancing around a 25-foot Maypole. Festivities begin at 11 a.m., with country dancing by elementary students and performances by local Morris-style dancing teams. There will also be games and picnics on the lawn.

Shaker internships: The Shaker Museum at Mount Lebanon is hiring part-time interns to provide tours to the public of the North Family at Mount Lebanon Shaker Village in New Lebanon, N.Y., during the summer and fall season.
Interns are needed to lead tours and operate the museum store. The position offers an opportunity to gain practical work experience in a field of study while sharing the Shaker story with visitors.
Internships begin July 5 and conclude Oct. 14. Training will be held a week prior to opening. The position is part-time, 20 hours per week, Friday through Monday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Interns must be available for all four days, and for the entirety of the season. The rate of compensation is $10 per hour.
