From 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Mountain Road School in neighboring New Lebanon, N.Y. will host its 40th Anniversary Celebration, which is free and open to the public and will take place at the school, 4565 County Route 9. Drinks and light refreshments, a silent auction, wine pull, and a reunion of the rock band, The Mountain Rodents, are among the offerings.

Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield presents at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, "Ami and Tami," a musical fable for children, presented by Close Encounters With Music in collaboration with Floating Tower and the museum. Flying Deer Nature Center, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, will host its annual Flying Deer Family Day this year in marking the center's 20th anniversary. Located at the Abode Mountain Camp, 5 Abode Road, New Lebanon, N.Y., the day includes an 11 a.m. fire-lighting and opening ceremony; nature activities and workshops; a barbecue and bake sale, games, a live auction and birthday cake followed by a contra dance with Kathryn Wedderburn and musicians. In celebration of its 30th year, the Williamstown Rural Lands Foundation will continue to offer its series of monthly guided hikes on Williamstown trails. All hikes begin at 9:30 a.m. at WRLF's Sheep Hill headquarters on Route 7. Participants should dress for the weather and bring water, snacks, sturdy waterproof shoes, sunscreen, hats, and insect repellent. This Saturday's hike will go through Hopkins Forest.
