Recess: What to do the week of March 15
Youth Art Month continues at The Clark Art Institute in Williamstown with a series of free after-school drop-in art-making sessions for kids in grades 4 through 8, from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursdays.
All children must be accompanied by an adult; admission to the galleries is complimentary for one accompanying adult.
This Thursday is "Live Wire," a wire drawing sculpture class. "Fine Print," a stamp-making class will be held on March 24. "String Theory" is a fiber art workshop during which participants will make a woven wall hanging.

Friday is the deadline to apply to the college scholarship program of Berkshire County Arc and the BCArc Down Syndrome Family Group.
High school seniors pursuing undergraduate education in the field of human services, and students pursing degree programs in psychology, social work, special education, rehabilitation counseling and related courses of study are eligible to apply.

The Williams College lecture series, "Diversity-Equity-Social Justice: Difficult Dialogues in Higher Education," begins at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in room 3 of Griffin Hall in Williamstown.
Ellen Berrey, assistant professor of sociology and criminology at the University of Denver, will speak on "The Enigma of Diversity: The Language of Race and the Limits of Racial Justice."
Berkshire Country Day School in Stockbridge will host an interactive Little Penguins Explore & Play series, "Explore Our World," for 2- and 3-year-olds from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays, March 30, April 6, and April 13.
The cost is $45 per session; discounts for series.

United Cerebral Palsy of Berkshire County is offering a free workshop series, "Powerful Tools for Caregivers," for anyone who is a caregiver to a child or adult with physical or developmental disabilities, or senior relatives.
Sessions start at 5:30 p.m. on March 23 and 30; April 6, 13, 20 and 27, and will be held at the UCP office located at 208 West St., Pittsfield.
Light refreshments will be served each evening.
