An open house program will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday at Mountain Road School, 4565 County Route 9 in New Lebanon/East Nassau, N.Y.

Families are invited to tour the classrooms and 20-acre wooded campus, and meet with Director of Education Cynthia Gray.

Montessori School of the Berkshires will offer from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, "The Emotional Lives of Children," a free community presentation by author and psychologist Dr. Lawrence Cohen, at the McConnell Theater at Bard College of Simon's Rock, 84 Alford Road, Great Barrington.

Cohen's work is directed at helping parents and teachers use play to nurture close connections and solve behavior problems in children.

Darrow School at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, will screen the groundbreaking 2015 documentary film, "Most Likely to Succeed," on the history, troubles and triumphs in education systems.

The event is free and open to the public, taking place in the Darrow School Theater on campus, 110 Darrow Road, New Lebanon, N.Y. After, Dean of Faculty Raleigh Werberger will guide a student-teacher panel discussion about the school's innovative approach to active learning.

Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum, located at 104 Walker St. in Lenox, invites "peeps" of all ages to make a Berkshire County-theme diorama using Peeps candy treats. Extra credit may be given to those who deftly use puns in the concept or title.

All entries must be delivered to Ventfort Hall before 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15.

The Clark Art Institute in Williamstown celebrates Youth Art Month with a series of after-school art-making sessions for kids in grades 4 through 8, from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursdays.

All children must be accompanied by an adult. Activities are free, including complimentary gallery admission for one accompanying adult.
