GREYLOCK ABC FORUM >> The Board of Directors of Greylock ABC (A Better Chance) will host at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9, a public forum to discuss recent changes to and the future direction of the organization. The forum will be held in the meeting room of Mount Greylock Regional High School in Williamstown. Greylock ABC closed its residential program this spring after more than 40 years of educating visiting scholars at MGRHS.

INDEPENDENT FILM WORKSHOP >> Bard College at Simon's Rock in Great Barrington will host at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday independent filmmaker Jay Craven for a workshop and information session in the Lecture Center. The free, public event will give participants a chance to discuss current work and to exchange thoughts on issues ranging from directing to distribution. Craven will also show clips from his films. The filmmaker will also discuss his upcoming session of "Movies from Marlboro," where 30 students from multiple colleges come together for a film intensive semester away at Marlboro College in southern Vermont. 'THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST' >> Berkshire Country Day's Upper School Theater Ensemble will present a new adaptation of the Oscar Wilde comedy, "The Importance of Being Earnest," at 7 p.m. on Friday and at 2 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, in the school's Boston University's Winthrop Theater, 45 West St., Lenox. Directed by Sara Katzoff, audiences are invited to join the ensemble and creative team for a post-show talk after each show. Donations will be accepted at the door to support the program.

'PAJAMA NIGHT' AT THE MUSEUM >> As part of November's Family Literacy Month, Berkshire Museum and its community partners will present from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Friday its annual "Pajama Night," an evening of storytelling and family literacy. Free and open to the public, there will be ongoing readings, poetry for kids, a drop-in sing-along, local authors, multilingual reading stations (Spanish, Polish, Hebrew, Mandarin), and free books while supplies last. SURVIVING SUICIDE, A FORUM >> Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield will at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday present the free, public forum "Live, Learn, Grow; Attempting Suicide and Finding Life," with author and suicide attempt survivor Craig Miller. A member of the Executive Committee of the Massachusetts Coalition for Suicide Prevention, he wrote a memoir, "This is How it Feels: Attempting Suicide and Finding Life," and will talk about resilience and hope.
