Public skating hours at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Berkshires in Pittsfield resume this weekend. Hours are from 3 to 4:45 p.m., every Saturday and Sunday, unless otherwise posted.
Admission is $4 with club membership, $6 for non-members and adults.
First-come first-served ice skate rentals are $3 per session.

A "Smartphone Photography" workshop will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday at Bartholomew's Cobble, 105 Weatogue Road, Sheffield.
Participants will use the landscape and fauna of the nature reserve as their subject, then explore apps and accessories available to edit, share and expand your range of photography.
Cost is $20 general admission, $12 for members of the Trustees of Reservations.

"Hoosac Valley Legends Train: The Story of the Hoosac Tunnel," will continue to offer rides at 5:30 p.m. on Saturdays through the month of October.
Berkshire Scenic Railroad Museum will host acclaimed local historian Paul W. Marino and Chris Wondoloski, author of "The Hoosac Tunnel Murders," onboard the train as they relate the legend and legacy of the Hoosac Tunnel.
Not recommended for children under age 10.
Tour lasts up to two hours and includes a cemetery walk, so dress for walking. Depart from North Adams Station, 98 Crowley Ave., behind the Brien Center building.
Tickets are $20.

The Children's Room at the Lenox Library, 18 Main St., Lenox, will host its "Teeny Tiny Halloween Book Party," at 7 p.m. on Thursday, with local author Lauren Wohl.
She'll be signing copies of her new book, "The Teeny Tiny Halloween," which will be for sale, as well as telling a few other seasonal tales.
Light refreshments will be served and wearing costumes is encouraged.
