Reilly addresses PHS class

PITTSFIELD -- Thomas Reilly, son of David and Lisa Reilly of Pittsfield, addressed the Pittsfield High School class of 2014 at graduation ceremonies at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Shed at Tanglewood in Lenox, announced Principal Matthew Bishop.

It has been tradition at Pittsfield High School that the class president address the class and that the class's seniors ranked in the top 10 are recognized, rather than a valedictorian and salutatorian.

Reilly was elected to the class council and elected class president in his senior year. He participated in the PHS drama club, Proteus, and has been a member of the community service club Peace Jam working on projects concerning human trafficking and attending conferences with Nobel Peace Prize Laureates.

He was also a member of the PHS lacrosse team in his ninth and 10th grade years.

Reilly will attend Westminster College in the fall.
