Richmond: Berkshire Horseworks hosting scavenger hunt
Families, hikers and outdoor enthusiasts are invited to register for "Horses and Hikers for Healing," a scavenger hunt, barbecue and hoedown hosted by Berkshire HorseWorks, on Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Berkshire Equestrian Center, 40 Perry's Peak Road. The event was postponed from Aug. 13 due to weather.
The scavenger hunt will kick off at 10 a.m. Clues will be a combination of Berkshire fun facts and horse trivia. The barbecue and hoedown will follow at 1 p.m.
Registration is $35 for individuals, $55 for families up to five, and includes all activities. Tickets are also available for the hoedown only.
All proceeds support equine-assisted psychotherapy and learning programs serving at-risk youth, veterans and families.
In order to be eligible to win $100, one must register by noon Friday, Sept. 16.
