Richmond: Cultural Council announces grant recipients


The Richmond Cultural Council has announced the award of 13 grants for Fiscal 2016 to fund cultural programs in and around Richmond.

Upon review of the initial 25 applications, those chosen proved to support local programs that target a broad and diverse audience. These include school and library programs as well as theater, art and musical events.

A complete list of recipients follows:

Joy Mullen: Field trip to Great East Festival.

Elizabeth Smith: Field trip to Plimoth Plantation.

Ronald Barron Program: Music for trombone and piano.

Berkshire Theatre Group: School residency program.

Shakespeare & Company: Fall Festival of Shakespeare.

Butterfly Leadership Circle: An initiative of Berkshire Festival of Women Writers.

Berkshire Concert Choir: Summer sings/carol sing.

Edith Wharton Restoration: Edith Wharton Writing Project.

Berkshire Lyric Theatre: Concerts and educational programs.

West Stockbridge Chamber Players: West Stockbridge spring chamber concert.

Music in Common: Friends of Daniel Pearl Festival (FODfest) 2016.

WAM Theatre: WAM Theatre of events.

Richmond Free Library: Rhonda's Reptiles live animal program.
