Romney likes his teachers poor

Friday October 26, 2012

Mitt Romney says he likes teachers but not teachers unions. I know why. I was a teacher, and now I am a substitute teacher. Teachers have unions, but substitute teachers do not. I just received my first paycheck for four hours of substitute teaching. As a result, I have a new game I play with my friends and family: "Guess how much I was paid for four hours of teaching." I win the game every time. No one has ever come close to guessing the $37.50, before taxes, that I was paid.

So, I guess Mitt Romney likes teachers, but only if they don’t earn a living wage. Maybe that is his plan for creating 12 million new jobs.
