Roundup: Wahconah, Mount Greylock girls soccer teams play to 1-1 draw
Mount Greylock coach Tom Ostheimer said Wahconah outplayed his squad in the first half, making the tie a positive result.
Greylock's Madison Ross started the scoring in the second half off a feed from Clara McWeeny in the 48th minute. Wahconah added the equalizer as Hannah Ronayne sent a cross deep into the box, Arden McKnight gathered the ball and scored. Both sides had multiple looks at winning goals, but each keeper held strong.
"The second half was back and forth," Ostheimer said. "Both teams had plenty of opportunities."

SHEFFIELD — This Berkshire South clash was a defensive battle for more than three-fourths of the contest. Instead of playing to a tie, however, Mount Everett's Mariah Broderick found Lauren Edwards for the winning goal in the 74th minute.
Everett coach Jess Murtagh said keeper Madison Ullrich anchored the defense, helping secure the clean sheet.
Taconic's Jackie Boateng made six saves in the loss.

Monument Mountain 4, Hoosac Valley 2
GREAT BARRINGTON — Aubrey Blanchard's two second-half goals gave Monument Mountain the win against Hoosac Valley.
The Spartans used first-half goals from Emma McTeigue and Madeline Mason to take a 2-0 lead.
Hoosac responded with a penalty kick goal from Chloe Martel in the 44th minute. Two minutes later, Shaleigh Levesque added the equalizer, but Blanchard put the hosts back on top with the winning and insurance goals.

SPRINGFIELD — Lee made the trek to Springfield and earned a commanding road win against Pope Francis.
Anna Chicon tied the score for the host in the 54th minute. Shannon Finnegan helped the Wildcats pull away, dishing out the winning goal to Hadley Devarennes and adding an insurance goal in the 66th minute.
"Very aggressive game by both teams," Lee coach Lauren Finnegan said via email. "We played to win especially after they tied it up. The girls knew it was a must win game for us and they turned it up in the 2nd half."

PITTSFIELD — Pittsfield spoiled Senior Day at Taconic with a dominant win over the Braves.
Sam Higuera led the way with a hat trick and an assist. Carter Matthews scored twice and had an assist. Christian Mendez had two assists.
The Generals scored seven straight points, before Taconic's Abdul Ahmed broke the streak in the 68th minute.
Taconic finishes its season 0-15-1.
"We came out flat," Taconic coach Shaun Stannard said. "We didn't bring any intensity. The final score shows what happens when you don't bring intensity."

NORTH ADAMS — Commerce's Edwin Diaz netted the eventually winning goal late in the first half, giving the Red Raiders a road win over McCann Tech.
Diaz started the scoring with a goal in the 21st minute. McCann's Omar Uqdah netted the equalizer shortly after, but the Hornets could stop Diaz from regaining the lead for Commerce.

LEE — Lee rebounded from its loss to Longmeadow Friday by sweeping Pittsfield.
The Wildcats won the match 25-14, 25-13, 25-11. The win moves the Wildcats to 14-1 on the season.
Suriana Lee showed off a deadly serve while getting her teammates involved with six aces and 16 assists. Bailey Thomas used her height at the net to record six blocks. She add two kills and one dig as well. Ahna Schlaefer led the offense with 10 kills, one ace, two digs and two blocks. Anna Wang had 12 digs at libero.
Kamea Quetti led Pittsfield with four kills. Anna Quinto had two kills and one block. Brennah Brickle had five assists and four blocks.
Lenox 3, Monument Mountain 0
GREAT BARRINGTON — Kianna Black led Lenox to victory over Monument Mountain.
Black had 11 kills and nine digs, helping the Millionaires earn a 25-10, 25-15, 25-19 win. Morgan Levesque did a good job of keeping her teammates involved, dishing out 26 assists and serving home three aces. Elena Curedi added four digs and a kill.
Alyssa Mack had a strong all-around game. She led Monument (4-7) with five digs, three kills, three blocks and two digs. Isabelle Whalen had one ace, seven digs and six assists. Alexa Troiano added 11 digs, three kills and one block.
"Lenox is a tough team," Monument coach Kyle Henry said. "Emotions take over on Senior Night. After the first set we started playing team volleyball. We'll take improvement."
