SALEM, MASS. >> A 24 year old Salem State University senior has been arrested and charged in connection with the stabbing of a faculty member.

Police say Stephen Chastian will be arraigned in Salem District Court Thursday morning on charges including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and attempted murder. Officials have so far declined to identify the victim, who was stabbed in the neck.
