Sammy Swindell, Kenny Tremont Jr. win at Lebanon Valley Speedway

WEST LEBANON, N.Y. — It took an extra night, but Sammy Swindell was one happy driver Monday night.

Swindell and the rest of the field in the Arctic Cat All-Star Circuit of Champions feature race had to wait a day to race at Lebanon Valley Speedway because of inclement weather. Once Swindell took to the oval, he took command.

Swindell and Dale Blaney were at the front of the pack at the green flag. Blaney took an early lead. Two race stoppages saw Swindell take advantage of the restart to pass Blaney on the outside. While Swindell never pulled away, nobody was able to catch him.

"It was ... the start," Swindell said in Victory Lane. "My car responded so much better than [Blaney's], so I could draw away from him."

Blaney ran into some problems of his own. Gambling on a second yellow to change a tire with an air leak, Blaney went into the pits. His pit crew had some issues, and when the pit exit closed, Blaney was stuck for the rest of the race.

Kraig Kinser finished second with Chad Kemenah third.

Kenny Tremont Jr. won his seventh Small Block Modified feature of the season. He won the second heat which put him on the inside of row one next to Peter Carlotto of Stockbridge.

Tremont, who was allowed to remove 50 pounds of success ballast from his car, passed Carlotto on the 10th lap, and held off the field.
