Savoy man charged with sexual assaults
NORTH ADAMS — A Savoy man is facing charges after allegedly sexually assaulting guests at his home on two occasions this month.
Daniel Tatro, 55, of Hawley Road, allegedly assaulted the first victim, who was staying the night in his guest bedroom, on Sept. 8, he told police.
The man told police that he was attempting to sleep when he awoke to Tatro inappropriately touching him, according to a probable cause report filed in Northern Berkshire District Court by Massachusetts State Police.
The alleged victim was able to verbally and physically stop the assault, according to the police report.
The second victim reported being assaulted in a similar fashion while staying in Tatro's guest bedroom, and told police that he immediately ordered Tatro to stop touching him and leave the room, the report states.
Tatro pleaded not guilty to two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person over the age of 14. He was held without bail by Judge Paul Vrabel pending a dangerousness hearing on Sept. 21.
