Savoy: Winter carnival, snowmobile ride slated Saturday

The eighth annual Winter Carnival and the third "Vintage On the Hill" snowmobile ride will be held on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Wandrei’s, 1254 Main Road, Route 116, located 2.8 miles south of the Savoy Town Park and .3 miles north of the Plainfield line.

The event is sponsored by the Savoy Kanary Kats in memory of Harold Rice. All proceeds will be donated to the Harold Rice Scholarship Fund.

There will be two separate snowmobile rides: a Marked Poker Run in the morning and the "Vintage On The Hill" ride which will be held regardless of weather.

Registration starts at 9 a.m. The entry fee is $5. The event includes food, raffles and fun for all ages.
