Screening of film at North Adams airport moved to Sunday

NORTH ADAMS >> Friday night's movie at the airport has been rescheduled for Sunday.

The Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art had planned to show "Around the World in 80 Days" at Harriman and West Airport on Friday, but that screening has been moved to 8:30 p.m. Sunday because of the potential for bad weather.

The movie will be projected on the door of an airplane hangar that is 90 feet wide. Though the film changes each year, the event has become an annual summer tradition in North Adams.

Moviegoers must bring their own chairs, but a plethora of food and beverages will be for sale on site.

Gates open at 7 p.m. and tickets are available at the gate, costing $14 per car or $7 per adult and $3 per child.
