Seminars, events at BerkshireWorks this week


PITTSFIELD -- The BerkshireWorks Career Center has several workshops and events that take place this week.

A workshop on job search strategies takes place on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Registration, (413) 499-2220 ext. 110.

A Career Center Seminar will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. An overview of services, resources and options available at BerkshireWorks. All attendees must register by calling (413) 499-2220 ext. 110.

North County Search takes place on Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Adams Visitors Center, and from 1 to 4 p.m. at the North Adams Public Library. Walk-ins are welcome.

Career Decision Making takes place at 10 a.m. on Friday. Referral by career counselor only. Information: (413) 499-2220 ext. 110.

The following events will take place:

Elder Services Senior Aid Program, 10 a.m. to noon, Wednesday. Elder Services Senior Aide positions available. Must be over 55 and income eligible. Information/registration: Linda, (413) 499-0524. Walk-ins are welcome.

BCC College and Career Navigator, Thursday and Friday. Berkshire Community College Navigator provides direct assistance to individuals in accessing the college and completing all the required steps that culminate in selecting a program and registering for classes: admissions/college application, assessment, advising, financial aid and registration.
