Shaftsbury, Vt.: Breakfast to benefit Lions Club programs


The NorShaft Lions will hold its eighth annual pancake breakfast from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, June 1, at Shaftsbury Elementary School on Buck Hill Road.

The menu includes pancakes, bacon, sausage, Vermont maple syrup, juice and coffee, tea or milk. The suggested donation is $6 per person. Children under 8 are free.

Proceeds from this event will help the Lions provide sight and hearing assistance to members of the community. Used prescription eyeglasses in good condition will be accepted for the Lions’ Recycle for Sight program.

Donation boxes are also available at the Shaftsbury Swap Shed at the Transfer Station, Whitman’s Feed Store, Hoosick (N.Y.) Country Club, Merchants Bank, Advanced Eye Care, and Moulton’s Spectacles.
