Shaker Village chef in TV show series

PITTSFIELD -- "New England Cuisine" television series will celebrate Shaker-inspired dishes with Hancock Shaker Village Chef Michael Roller over the holiday season..

Host Scott Sommerfield and crew recently shot two episodes featuring Hancock Shaker Village.

In the holiday-themed show this month, Roller shares festive recipes such as Shaker Flank Steak and Spiced Apple Pudding and for January, he focuses on recipes from the Village's Traditional Shaker Suppers served to the public in the 1830 Brick Dwelling.

The recipes are posted online at www.hancock
shakervillage.org.

"We rely on ‘The Best of Shaker Cooking' cookbook by Amy Bess Miller and Persis Fuller for many of the dishes we prepare," said Roller.

"New England Cuisine" airs in the southern Berkshire region on Comcast Channel 16 on Fridays at 5:30 p.m., Saturdays at 6 p.m., and Sundays at 4:30 p.m., and on eleven other Cox, Comcast, and Charter community stations the region.
